Blue-green

Green

Bright green

The brightest green you’ve ever seen

Yellow-green

Emerald-green

Bathe me in green

Drown me in green

The forest’s green

The bush is green

My eyes are green

Just like the lake

They catch the green

From all around

Its so serene, just you and me

Blue,

The darkest blue

An ocean blue, a perfect hue

Turquoise blue

Shimmering blue

Wrap me in blue

Robe me in blue

The water is blue

The sky is blue

Your eyes are blue

Just like the sea

They catch the blue

From all around

We’ve got nowhere else to be

Window tree

Out the window

Is a tree

A gigantic elm

A wonderful sight

Gnarled and old

With snaps and snags

And hanging bits

A beautiful sort

A home to birds

And bees, I’m sure

For a hundred years

It’s been in this spot

And grown and grown

Brought thoughts to minds

Of those who look

Out windows, such as I

The other day

Whilst I was at work

They cut you down

And a hundred years

Turned to dust

In 8 short hours

Of sweaty work

Now all that’s left

Are homeless birds

And hopeless sky

Pighouse

we’re racing through

the bush

two explorers

The Man and his dog

we know this spot

Better than anyone!

(except for maybe…

Aboriginals)

we stumble and fall

in amongst

the earthy soil

peat humus and joy

We are free!

you fell down a waterfall

I carried you out,

its funny in hindsight

I really hope

you dream of the bush

at the end of the street

Horseshoe falls

I think its called

I hope when you close

your two blind eyes

that you see me!

Mum, Dad and the boys

Lakeside

Im lonely sat there by the lake

Frozen solid

I sit in empty nothingness

Feeling apologetic

For my presence

Totally Pathetic

Lonely by the pretty lake

Beauty

A feature of the past

And theres little

Solace to be Found

in remembrance

Sitting by the stupid lake

In ice

I catch my own reflection

Its hideous

And worse

With passing time

But hark!

What is that sound

Across the lake

A sound, your name?

I hear the creaking of the ice

And feel the warmth

Of sun
